Description

For :icongottadrawemall: collab with 3rd Gen!

.....Gosh I'm REALLY late!, So sorry U_U I really don't know what happened that I couldn't finnish sooner...but finaly, here it is!

Well, here is a Cacnea hidding in the sand in a desert (because of the sandstorm), with a friend that needs to practice more it's hidden spots or else...is going to be either steped on or ''stolen'' (I mean...the only thing visible from his friend is his crown thing so...)

The eyes look spooky ._. (I love the sandstorm effect TBH TwT)

I believe that I will refrain myself to participate in the 4 gen collab...but I'll come back by gen 5, why?, mostly because I'm mad at myself of letting the 5 weeks pass and make this last minute U_Ub
Really sorry again!

alright, gonna pick this work to critique,  take note the points made here are for objective reasons with the intent to help improve, not to be rude, let's get to it.

the texture use for the sandstorm is nice, though I feel some layering to it with different levels of strength to show depth in the scene more would help out the scene quite a bit.

cacnea coming out of the sand has nice transition into the sand,  it could be improved though if you had put some sand residue atop the arms still flowing off just to show more interaction with the sand element and more strongly show that the cacnea was indeed encased in the sand.

lineart styling on cacnea and such with a darker shade of the color it surrounds is a nice touch to help things blend in a bit nicer as opposed to the typical black all outlining

the cactus pricks and such show some depth and styling to the cactus, though the angle it's at and the lack of strong shading by shape make it feel very 2 dimensional rather than a circular cactus like shaping.

composition makes use of the rules of 3rds nicely, with the details in the intersections around the center but not flat in the center, allowing the eye to flow nicely throughout the image.

color tones and sky tone compliment the scene nicely, fitting the atmosphere, and the levels of shades in the rocky hills in the back help show some distance in the piece.

overall, the composition is good and the base work for a good scenery piece is here. just got to work on showing depth to objects a bit better, notably that cactus, and the texture could use some tinkering. some more environmental interacting with the cacnea body to show the sand encasing a bit better or even some of the sand blowing in his face would help a lot.

nice job, hope you enjoy the critique and it helps
